Housebuilder to host family fun event in EK to raise funds for community group (2024)

Prospective homebuyers looking for a new home in East Kilbride are invited to Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s 'Moving Made Easier' event this month.

The event is at its popular Amble Court development in the growing neighbourhood of Jacktonhall, East Kilbride on Saturday, September 21.

From 12noon to 4pm, potential buyers can be inspired by the development’s two show homes—the Chalmers three-bedroom detached and the Drummond four-bedroom detached— and chat with an independent mortgage specialist who can provide free financial advice on mortgages.

With free popcorn, candy floss and children’s entertainment, including face painting and balloon modelling, it’s a great time to pop along and find out how Taylor Wimpey can help get buyers on the move.

The development is also supporting its local charity partner Share Alike with a £25 donation pledge to the community project for every family or group visiting the event.

Share Alike is a small community organisation run entirely by volunteers, which aims to encourage sharing and care to help alleviate poverty, loneliness, and waste.

Share Alike has partnerships with local stores to collect surplus food and it also accepts donations of food, clothing, and small household items which they distribute to those in need.

The money will go directly to supporting the work and services that Share Alike provides locally in East Kilbride including its crisis food service, community larder, fridge, and wardrobe, community wellbeing café with workshops, activities, and general support, as well as its baby bank and participation in the annual EK Christmas Kindness campaign.

Situated off Jane Drive in the new East Kilbride neighbourhood of Jacktonhall, Amble Court forms part of a new neighbourhood within the East Kilbride Community Growth Area (EKCGA), and it offers a choice of two, three, and four-bedroom homes to provide a range of options for first-time buyers and growing families.

Prices currently range from £220,000 for the Andrew two-bedroom mid-terrace home to £369,995 for the Fraser four-bedroom detached home.
